September and December Vow Complete!

Funny how one can find time without having to work and go to school. Got to love Christmas break! So with that said I'm done with my September and December vow. And of course The Librarium Painting Challenge 2013 has now popped up. I finished converting my January and February Vows and plan on making at least the January Vow part of the Painting Challenge.

The finished September and December Vows after the break.

What do you mean it's almost Christmas?!?!?!?!

Well it's been a little over a month since my last post, and boy what a month it has been! We slowly moved into the new place over November and finally started living here Thanksgiving weekend. With all of our stuff finally in the house it was time to settle in, oh wait did I say settle in? I mean stress out some more! With finals down the road I really couldn't find time to do much of anything other than getting stuff straight in the house, so I could do homework. Luckily I was able to find time to set up the servers and the Fios. But for the first week or so in the house I didn't have internet.

Anyway finals are done! Now I have some more free time, funny how that works. And with that I was able to get some modeling done tonight for the Path to Redemption. Check out what I have in store after the break.

November Vow Done, for now. . . .

So everything was going well with painting my November Vow. The base coat from Army Painter's Angels Green went on like butter. Then the actual painting was going just as well. Until I got to the face. I had to order new brushes with only a few short bristles. His face took over an hour and while it isn't terrible, I wouldn't exactly call it good. Then the Strong Tone went on really well. Since it was my first vehicle I went with the philosophy of less is more, which turned out I should of used a little more. But I was happy with the results. Then disaster struck. . .

Life eh?

So we closed on our house on Friday and even though signing all those documents was a pain, it is great to have that over! Diane has started to paint the house too, thankfully she hasn't made me do any painting yet. I already started moving some stuff over there, basically just stuff I have in storage at our current place. We're thinking Thanksgiving weekend will be in our move in date.

October Vow Complete!

So I decided to join in on the B&C Dark Angels Forum Path to Redemption project. What is the Path to Redemption you ask? From the Path to Redemption post: "The PATH TO REDEMPTION is a six month long event set up in six separate segment each a month long. You can join in at any time!"

I missed September since I was trying to decide what tools of the trade and what color schemes I wanted my newly bought and magnetized Deathwing Terminators to be. Luckily I figured it all out by mid October and I was able to join in on the fun!

I'm going to link directly to the October vow on the B&C forum but I'm also going to post the pictures directly here. And you'll get some close up pics of the Deathwing Terminators that I didn't post up there!

Welcome!

So this is my first blog, and I'm sure it's going to be terrible. I really dislike the whole update Facebook with every little thing I do type of statuses. So don't expect an update every day, hell weekly updates would probably be pushing it as well. Anyway, onto why I made this blog. I don't know really. I've been enjoying reading a bunch of different Warhammer 40k blogs and I figured why not? This blog probably won't be solely Warhammer 40k, but since that's what I'm into right now it will be the majority of posts until it gets cycled out of my free time. Though with my hectic schedule it probably won't for a while.

Well, now I'm rambling. I'm going to end this now. I hope I like writing on this blog and I really hope people will enjoy what I put up here.
